Please Note: Backyard Stations and the Backyard Community currently consist of two separate registrations. We are working to merge the two in the near future.

3. Publish your Backyard Station data to our network using publishing software or a hardware appliance.

Publishing Software:

Ambient Virtual Weather Station (Internet Edition required, $100)
Cumulus (free)

Vis Reader (free, USB-based Acu-Rite Weather Stations only)
Weather Display ($70)
WeatherLink Module (free, DAVIS Stations only) Note: There's currently a bug in the version number of the WeatherLink module. We are including version 1.1.3 for download, but the module is showing 1.1.1 when loading it (which is an unsupported version). Please rest assured that you are downloading version 1.1.3 and using a supported version, regardless of what the module version screen says. Now Open Source! Download the source code here.

WeatherTracker ($40) (Click link at left for screen shots)
WUHU / Heavy Weather Uploader (free)

WeatherSnoop ($20-60) (Mac App Store)
Weather Display ($70)
 ($65) Instructions

WeatherTracker ($40) (Click link at left for screen shots)

wview (Free) Plugin/Instructions (Courtesy of Lloyd Kirk) Bash version available here.

Hardware Appliances (No PC Needed!):

Control by Web X-320M (About $400) Instructions

The Control by Web X-320M works directly with various compatible stations and sensors. No additional consoles or data loggers required. DAVIS stations require an adapter but do not need a console or WeatherLink package in order to function.

WeatherLink IP Users: Click Here to learn about a service that allows you to publish your Backyard Station data to us using WeatherLink IP without needing to leave your PC on 24/7.

AcuLink Users: You can either use the WeatherLink IP workaround above if you're publishing data to Wunderground, or you can click here to use this app as a way to pull data from your AcuLink station and push it to us.

4. View your Backyard Station data on our network.
