Not sure when it occurred. This is the only time I've seen this in the news. Didn't make big headlines. Is it common for meteors like that to happen?

Meteor.

Missed it, must be too far south.  What time did it occur, the news story does not say.  I got home about 1 AM.

USGS recently changed format of pages, a little trickier to find the maps now when you are use to the old format.

Leads me to believe that us on Camano Island or at least the Washington coastline could be in for something huge in the near future....I mean we are due!
