Been awful hot the past 2 days. Over 90 degrees recorded here. There is a nice breeze today but the temperature is still 91 degrees. Low humidity makes it tolerable.

What we missed in January, February has made up for it. Bitter cold temperatures in the -3 to -10 degree range in the morning and only getting into the upper teens to low 20's with wind chills over -30 to -40 degrees and around 1.5 foot of snow so far, and some ice storms that put down around 1/2 inch of the stuff, and this month is only half done. "Alaska the Last Frontier"!!!

This has been a brutal January here. I have recorded lows in the -10 degree range and wind gusts of over 30 mph. We haven't gotten much snow. Maybe around 10 inches total but the temperatures have been brutal. And these Canadian winds have got to stop!

OH is it cold here. The wind chill is around 10 degrees. Had 1 1/2 inches of snow yesterday. It is supposed to get colder tonight with the low around 7 degrees and chill factors around -25. OK, I've had enough of winter. I want to put the boat in the water and so some sailing.

Well, winter is here in all it's glory. I've had enough of it and am ready for spring. This wind is doing me in. You can't even stand outside without getting blown away. We have had gusts of 30 to 40 mph here for the past 4 days. Makes hunting miserable to say the least. Hurry up April! I want to get the boat in the water!

Nathan, is the Sony cam a wireless camera??

Comment by William Yeager on November 12, 2014 at 4:20pm

Dale, I use the Logitec C310. It's a USB type camera and has worked for me very well when I was on wunderground. I have some network cams here that I still need to work with to get working on my software. I run WorldCam PL software here and it works a lot better than the other programs.

I'm chatting with my CTO this week to discuss the cam stuff and the new Backyard changes we're making. We used to use StarDot NetCam XL for our cameras, but I think we're switching to Sony. I was sent a replacement cam recently, and it was a Sony instead of a StarDot.

William, I've been looking at different Cams, but have quite found the one I like for continuous outdoor weather conditions. Any suggestions?

Thanks Nathan. I am really looking forward to getting my web cam on line. And Dale, I did look at your station. Pretty impressive!

Summer Is Returning to Mid Michigan

After a few days of autumn-like weather, summer will return for early September.  Temperatures will once again be in the upper 80s to near 90F next week.  I'm hoping that it continues well into October, and with La Nina present, our whole winter is forecasted to be mild.  That would certainly be nice for a change.  I'm not a real…See More
