The WeatherBug app works great for me as well. Main reason I mentioned WXWarn is some people were looking for a good replacement for InterWarn since they were having issues with it on Windows 10. Weather Message is good too, and Storm Target is also good. Those are both a little pricier though than WXWarn (it's free or $7 to remove ads), so it's hard to beat the price if you need the most cost effective standalone warning program.

The Weather Bug App works great. I have it loaded on my Padd..  my Phone  and my Ipod. and it always sends out severe weather alerts in plenty of time.

The Ingest engine in Wxmesage can be configured to pick up any Noaaport feed for a direct assimilation of Data  And That is how I have mine configured. Plenty of Noaa Port feeds out there.

The disappointing news is the loss of the EMWIN Internet feed.  The EMWIN Internet feed is scheduled to be terminated at the end of December 2016.  All EMWIN Internet users will need to migrate to Weather Wire to continue to receive NWS products over the Internet.

well mine is not configured for any weatherwire feed  and it works great as downloaded.

Comment by Charles Blackburn on June 13, 2016 at 3:51pm

i know, that's what I use :D

WXMesg  works just fine Charles.. I've been using it for years  and it ties in to several Noaa port feeds. Not just emwin

Comment by Charles Blackburn on June 13, 2016 at 3:47pm

i beleive though emwin is being discontinued soon, so you will need to configure wxmesg to use a weatherwire feed instead

Comment by Charles Blackburn on June 13, 2016 at 3:44pm

well to actually have a noaaport feed requires a satellite dish etc etc, but i get an internet feed from a friend who has a dish system
