The Official WeatherBug Community
Greetings! We would like to give you, our members and the best part of the AMS, an opportunity to help promote the 2013 AMS Annual Meeting planned for 6-10 January 2013 at the Austin (Texas) Convention Center, an unparalleled and one-of-a-kind professional development event. We’ve created a first-ever brochure highlighting many opportunities to connect, engage, and interact with each other on numerous interesting topics, many of which are related to our theme, “Taking Predictions to the Next Level: Expanding Beyond Today's Weather, Water, and Climate Forecasting and Projections”.
You can reach the brochure at http://annual.ametsoc.org/2013/index.cfm/newsroom/annual-meeting-marketing-materials/, where you can print, save, and distribute this detailed tri-fold brochure, or a simple one-page or half-page ad to encourage your friends and colleagues to join us for what I know will be a professionally rewarding and personally satisfying event!
Even if you can't attend, we hope you'll know someone who can and pass this valuable information to them on our behalf. If you have any questions regarding the materials, or would like some printed versions shipped to your address, please contact Judith Ziemnik at jziemnik@ametsoc.org.
We’re also happy to announce that most of the conferences have decided to extend their abstract submission deadline. You can view all of the call for papers and new abstract deadlines here: http://annual.ametsoc.org/2013/index.cfm/call-for-papers/ If you haven’t submitted yet, please consider this deadline your opportunity to send in your abstract today!
Thank you and see you in Austin!
