Record Breaking Temps For Saturday in Mid Michigan

No matter where I went yesterday, everyone was talking about the weather.  Yesterday was sensational with a high of 64°F and almost no clouds in the sky all day long.  There were some out in shorts, walkers and joggers without coats.  As for me, I went for a 1 mile walk with a light jacket, and had to unbutton it…See More

Clearing Skies and Warmer Temps Coming To Mid Michigan

What began as a cloudy morning is now transitioning into a sunny day.  What's even better is that we are expecting record highs over the next 3-4 days with plenty of sun.  It just doesn't get any better than that for February.  This winter has been better than last winter when we were under the influence of El Nino.  This was supposed…See More

Cloudy and Much Colder For Mid Michigan

Yesterday was very nice with plenty of sun and mild temperatures.  Then by sunset, clouds began to roll in from the northwest, and the snow began around 11 PM.  There was some accumulation, but most was melted by this morning.  Today will be cold and blustery, not a good day to be outdoors. with wind chills in the teens. …See More

About Me and My Weather Interests
I've been a weather follower since I was 7 years old. At that time, one of the few F5 tornados to ever hit Michigan, demolished a northern section of Flint, MI. We lived 30 miles from Flint, but there were many tornados that night hitting all around us. Until that night, I had no idea what a tornado was. It had a profound affect on me.

This unusually mild weather will continue through most of this week.  I have seen different forecasts from different sources, and they seem to change every hour or so.  But the latest are saying that we will be in the 50s all week.  What a fantastic February that we are having.  Local meteorologist, Mark…

Today is the Beginning of a Fantastic Weekend - Mid Michigan

We will have a warm, dry weekend with record high temperatures over the next 3-4 days.  Yesterday began with mostly cloud cover, then the skies began to clear  about mid day, and the sun was a welcome sight.  Today will be about 10-15° warmer with more sun.  Then we could see 60° over the weekend.  My only fear is…

Thank you, glad to be here. I am brand new to WeatherBug, so it will probably take a while to get accustomed to everything, thankfully I learn fast. So far I have only had experience with weather underground and now I am ready to expand my horizons.

Thank you for the welcome!  I live in Northern Ca and we are getting the MUCH needed rain! This was critical and now our lakes are full where they were literally just puddles. The American river is flowing well I just visited this past weekend. The Sierras are getting more snow pack too! We have another storm coming in later this week.
