Mike Gentry replied to David Chai's discussion WeatherBug Desktop 7.0 Issues, Comments & Suggestions in the group WeatherBug 7 Desktop (Limited Release)
"The last post I see in this section dates back in December 2012....  Am curious to know where Weatherbug 7 and/or 7-Elite development stands--along with all of the various user comment implementation....  I saw lots of agreement on the…"

Mike Gentry replied to David Chai's discussion WeatherBug Desktop 7.0 Issues, Comments & Suggestions in the group WeatherBug 7 Desktop (Limited Release)
"Just a short note reiterating why it is so important one weighs the options carefully when deciding to update to Weatherbug 7.0.  As I had stated in one of my earlier posts, the new requirement to install .NET Framework 4.0 comes at a cost--and…"

Mike Gentry replied to Nathan Parker's discussion Changing Temp Color According to Temp Threshold in the group WeatherBug 7 Desktop (Limited Release)
"The old version did this....  At least when the temp hit triple digits, anything 100 or higher would turn red automatically....  Don't know whether cold temps did this or not, though.  I don't recall."

Mike Gentry replied to Michael Hughes's discussion Feature Request in the group WeatherBug 7 Desktop (Limited Release)
"I liked 2 other features present in Version 6, which no longer seem to appear in Version 7: Weather News (and all of its sub-topics/links, i.e., News & Features, Stories, Hurricanes, etc.) Weather Fun (and 'most' of its…"

Mike Gentry replied to David Chai's discussion WeatherBug Desktop 7.0 Issues, Comments & Suggestions in the group WeatherBug 7 Desktop (Limited Release)
"The ease of installation of .NET Framework 4 is not my major concern.  You're probably right, however....  Most people accept Windows Update recommendations rather blindly, and therefore, probably already have this product--however,…"

Mike Gentry replied to David Chai's discussion WeatherBug Desktop 7.0 Issues, Comments & Suggestions in the group WeatherBug 7 Desktop (Limited Release)
"Installed version 7 on my laptop (which I relegate for beta type testing).  From just a pure aesthetic standpoint, I'm ok with the presentation of the main GUI.  Like at least one other person, I too, liked the "So Far…"

Mike Gentry commented on WeatherBug's blog post Choosing The Best Doppler Radar Maps
"Ah.... Looks much better--at least, in my opinion. The map scale in terms of Local, Metro, Regional, and National are still a little different than the old maps, but seems better than it was, previously. Much obliged, Weatherbug."

Winter Color Keys

"Nathan, of the five you've presented, I guess I like #5 the best, however, I am uncertain this is really representative of what might actually happen if the event were really wintry in nature (meaning, you probably would not really have icing…"

Doppler Radar Color Keys

"Nathan, I was unable to decide on a single favorite, but did manage to get it down to 3.... But, I could not decide on a hands-down favorite amongst these 3, as I liked them all. I studied these and whittled them down iteration after iteration,…"

Mike Gentry commented on WeatherBug's blog post Choosing The Best Doppler Radar Maps
"Of these two maps, I prefer Map #1, but I must echo Harry Hayfield's recommendation regarding the snowfall colors--Using shades of grey with white representing higher snowfall intensity makes sense (for a host of reasons, not least of which,…"

Mike Gentry commented on Andy Rosenbaum's blog post Bing Maps!
"I hate that my first comment is a rather negative one--and perhaps I am the only one who feels this way, but I'll run that risk and express my comments per Andy's request, above.... I'm all for innovation and improvements, but to be…"
