Snowcast

Hello, I'm Snowcast.

I work at a University carrying out research in the Biological Sciences. I initially studied Chemistry, and have spent much time working with a variety of analytical instruments.

Despite being a white-coated boffin, I enjoy the outdoors and in particular love skiing. It isn't mountainous where I live, but there is a dry slope 5 miles distant - which is where I can be found at the mercy of the elements. Once a year I try and make it to somewhere slightly more challenging!

My interest in the weather was moved beyond a casual relationship by buying a weatherstation for Mrs. Snowcast, who is a self-confessed weather nut. Snowcast Jr. has yet to show any real interest in the weather.

I intend to use my blog to highlight aspects of the data that I collect, and give an insight into the amazing world-of-weather in and around Ashby-de-la-Zouch.
