Lots of sailboats in the bay enjoying this great weather.
This morning started off bright and clear, at 6 o'clock the temp was 66°F and humidity was at 65% and barometric pressure on 29.95". In the sun it was quite warm but the ocean breeze made it really pleasant doing the gardening. At lunchtime it was on…

Thanks for nothing, Bret, you know I don't like hot and humid days
Former Tropical Storm Bret today bypassed the United Kingdom (giving the Western Isles and Counties Donegal and Fermanagh some more rain) and will just circulate in the North Atlantic between Iceland and the UK until Wednesday. Net Result? Temperatures in London reaching the mid to high 80's and heat indices of the high 80's to low 90's (and here in Wales we will see air temps of between 66 and 72 turn into heat indices of 72 to 78) just as I have planned another trip to Carmarthen (on what…

Fair and Warm in Mid Michigan
Our Sunday morning is beginning with clear skies and warm temps. I'm not sure what I'll do today but I'd like to be outdoors if it doesn't get too hot and humid. I heard that there's a slight chance of rain later today…

Gaithersburg Maryland VP2 backyard report for Saturday, July 30, 2011
Birthday weekend partying continued on Saturday with our semi-annual Herb Close ACON party at his home in Manchester MD, about 45 road miles NNE of my home. We had 12 or so weather enthusiasts from around the state, and neighboring states like PA and VA, and a far away state (Naples FL). Plenty of good food and great weather talk. Even did some instrument and…

Nicer Than Expected In Albuquerque On Saturday
Saturday started out bright and sunny. The morning's low temperature of 66° quickly rose to 80° by a little after 9:00 AM, and it looked like we were in for another mid-90s day. Then the wind switched to North, the 60% humidity…

At 6 o'clock this morning it was a bright, clear day. The temperature was at 71°F and the humidity was on 70%. Went for a bike ride and this is from one of the close beachside communities. Looking towards Boston. The temperature kept going up and the humidity drifted down. Saw our max at 12.30 pm at 83°F with…

Drying Up After the Floods - Mid Michigan
Once our skies cleared yesterday, it turned out to be a beautiful day. By evening, the humidity had lowered to 50% and we were even able to turn off the AC for the night. That's always nice. This morning is bright and clear with the sound of birds doing their daily bird things. If I didn't have to work today, I'd…

Partly Sunny And Breezy In Albuquerque On Friday
Friday was one of those rare days in Albuquerque when our sky was filled with clouds all day and the sun peeked through only occasionally. The result was a delightfully cool day with temperatures in the upper 70s all morning and reaching into the 80s for a few hours between 2:00 and 7:00 PM. Winds were Easterly at 5 to 10 mph with a high gust of 24 mph when a thunderstorm passed by the area. Our morning low was…

The clouds came in to stay early this morning. Southerly winds of 10 to 15 mph brought in a moist air mass which kept the humidity high all day. At 7.30 am this morning the temperature was 69°F with humidity on 70%. The temp drifted up till I saw 77° at 2 o'clock. The wind has been steady between 10 and 15 mph out…

More Heavy Rain for Mid Michigan
We received another 1.67" of rain overnight with plenty of thunder and lightning. This morning is very damp and humid and I think we've had enough rain for awhile. It looks like the muggy weather is here to stay, and with our high temps near 90F, it will be very uncomfortable. We should see the sun later today as this weather system pushes off to the east. The southern portions of lower Michigan are…
