Well that rain and wind started almost on the ETA I predicted for us to get the frontal edge that is passing thru. So far not too bad but going to pick up even more in couple of hours I posted the SA also with this storm so every one can see the barometeric pressure. If this one makes it to the east side of the coastal mountains it can dump lot of snow in the cooler regions. Going to be cool…

We will have to see how cold it actually gets for any snow to fall in the northeast.

No nice pixs this morning as I been busy watching a potential storm coming this way. Center of the low is about 1000 miles to the west but the intensity of it has created an large frontal area with the triple point about 450 miles to the south of the low center. The low center is about 939-940 mb. This puts the barometeric pressure as sea level about 27.50 if I did my math rigth. So far we just have an wind advisory. I looked at the jetstream…

Yesterday, the NHC stopped it's forecasts for Shary (as it left the territorial waters of the United States) which I can quite understand, however given the forecast track generated by the BBC for the storm, it does make me wonder whether there should be a review of the NHC so they forecast storms for the duration of the storm's existance (regardless of location)

Saturday was sunny, remaining cool after our
coldest morning of the season so far, with early
morning frost. Tonight we have some clouds
around that have kept out temps up a bit, so
there shouldn't be any frost tonight as lows drop
to around 40. However, the next week looks to
remain cool, as we get reinforcing shots of Canadian
air that will keep us in the low 50s for highs and low
to mid 30s for lows . We have a slight chance for
showers around…

Saturday was another glorious Autumn day in Albuquerque. My overnight low was 51º, the sky was mostly clear, wind 10-15 mph during the day, and the afternoon high was a warm 76º.
Sunday will be a bit cooler, with an overnight low in the mid 40's, afternoon high in the mid 60's, and mostly sunny skies all day. We expect Westerly winds in the 10-15 mph range and humidity in the 20's. The little ghosts and gremlins will have a nice day for trick-or-treating this year.

Just a note from yesterday. I had ice pellets or sleet in my backyard. Plus for a couple of nights this coming week we will have low temperatures overnight in the upper 20's. And we may see our first snow showers this week. Meanwhile a weak cold front will slide across the region overnight into Sunday. High pressure will then provide generally fair but cool weather Monday through Wednesday before more unsettled weather returns for late week.
