At 7.30 this morning, with the temperature at 34°, and calm conditions, it actually "felt" warm. There was a touch of frost on the grass and on the top of cars out in the street. And it was quiet! The humidity was way down and it was really pleasant working in the yard racking the leaves. There was no wind al all…Continue

Happy Halloween day everyone. Our morning is starting out at a balmy 43F with winds from the SE at 8 mph. Skies are cloudy. Today is expected to be wet with even a thundershower possible. Hopefully the goblins will be able to get out between showers tonight with our chance for rain at 60%. Skies are expected to…Continue

What a beautiful day!
It started out wrong, as my alarm clock thought Daylight Savings Time ended today. So I was an hour late posting my CoCoRaHS precip report. No rain over the previous 25 hours, so no big deal.
It was 36˚ F this morning, but warmed up to the low 50s. Mostly sunny and little wind allowed us to do more fall yard work. Took in the ceramic…Continue
What a bright sunny morning after all that rain. We recorded a total rain of 1.14 inches. The wind was screaming all night long but we missed the snow. Guess the ocean temperature was still too warm. Areas North and West of Boston recorded 26 to 29 inches, with some 200,000 + loosing power. Our morning temperature…Continue

For a short time early morning, we had the sun come out every now and then. At low tide there was no indication of the storm that was on it's way. The wind was strong from the North between 10 and 15 mph. Our temperature was 40°F and the barometric pressure was on 30.15".
At 11.45 am we saw our max high of…Continue
It is a beautiful fall morning here in Avon. Not a cloud in the sky, and it was a crisp 31˚ F earlier this morning. The .01" or precipitation was almost frozen over in the CoCoRaHS rain gauge.
There is a commercial grower behind us, and this year they grew pumpkins. I think they've taken more pumpkins out of the field this year than ever before. But there are still…Continue

Today could seem like an early spring day with showers and even a thunderstorm possible this afternoon. The temps will even be a smiggen warmer than yesterday reaching the lower 50s. But we know better. The nice weather will hang on a bit longer, however, with our high expected to reach into the 60s next week.…Continue
