Int'l Falls . Mn. The Ice Box of the Nation

The ice box will be cold this weekend to say the least. I'm sure the electric heat will go out and the propane hopefully will kick in. Other wise we will need to fire up the wood cook stove and soap stone stove. Current temp at 6:45 P CST time is -0.9. Chill is -12 and the high was + 8 F. Low was -1. Wind is WWS at 5 with a gust of NNW of 14. Tonight New years eve, with the beautiful Blue Moon the low will be -13 F. Wind chill between -28 to -33. Another day in paridise...er..uhh..Nebraska

Another day out of the norm for southwestern Nebraska. Bright, cloudless blue skies (no, that isn't normal), High for the day of 42 degrees, light wind out of the east at six with gusts to 16. There, eat that Arizona... :)

But tomorrow, back to normal. High of 12, partly to mostly cloudy skies with possibility of of freezing rain or snow. More clouds and low temps for the rest of the week.

A Snowy New Year's Eve in Mid-Michigan

Yesterday afternoon gave us a rather heavy dusting of light snow, about an inch altogether. I know that isn't much but that seems to be the best we can do so far this year . . . . . a big change from last year at this time. Snow is falling across northcentral Pennsylvania this morning. No adviisories or watches or warnings have been issued for our immediate area at this time.
