A Peaceful Sept. 11 in Mid Michigan

Although there are unhappy memories associated with this date, Sept.11, 2012 is beginning on a sunny, pleasant note here in Mid Michigan. The weather eleven years ago was much the same as today, and it was Tuesday, just like this year. But I certainly hope that we see nothing today like that infamous day back in 2001. It didn't get quite as cold last night as Sunday night and we should see our temps warming up over the next few days. We will make our last trip up north on Wednesday, and hopefully take the boat out one last time. So we're hoping for decent weather. I'm going to miss this part of summer although not the intense heat that we've had. It will be interesting to see what this autumn and winter have in store for us.

Right now (9:30 AM), our temp is 56.3F, the humidity is 75% and we have a heavy dew. Skies are partly cloudy and our dew point is 56F. The barometer is 30.20" and rising. Winds are from the south at 7 mph and there has been no rain in the past 24 hrs. Sunrise was at 7:12 AM and it will set tonight at 7:52 PM. Our high yesterday was 75F and our overnight low was 54F.
