We were invaded by cirrus clouds this afternoon, my favorite clouds of all. The first ones I saw looked like a bunch of little cloud tornadoes. (There is probably a correct name for them, does anyone know?) Then came the traditional "mare's tails" against a dark blue sky. Beautiful! Click the picture to see a larger image.
Oh, almost forgot the weather. Morning low was 30°, high for the day 50°, cold north winds gusting into the 20s, and those glorious cirrus clouds.
Saturday will be a little cooler, overnight low in the upper 20s, afternoon high in the upper 40s, with West winds 10 to 15 mph. Cloudy in the evening with a slight chance of rain showers changing to snow showers overnight and into Sunday morning. NW winds 10 to 20 mph.
At 11:45 PM it is 37°, humidity 39%, barometer steady at 30.12", wind NNW at 5 mph, wind chill 35°, dew point 14°, and the sky is clear.
