The BBC are now reporting that the first signs of this major rain event are crossing the English channel and that by tomorrow morning Southampton will be getting winds gusting up to 35kph (22mph) and rainfall rates of as much as 3mm an hour, however what is interesting is they are calling an "offshoot" of Nadine and note that "Nadine" will head towards Portugal, so therefore as some aspects of the media are calling this "Nadine's daughter" or "child of Nadine" I would like to know if that is strictly accurate

(All wind speeds are in MPH and are sustained)
