We left Boston on Monday with bright sunshine and blue sky. Easy travelling untill we reached the New York Thruway and found flooded roads and undermined bridges. Numerous detours and five hours and 40 miles later, back on the highway and eleven hours later we reached our hotel. Have done the Maid of the Mist boat ride and sightseeing. Today, Wednesday, under a mostly cloudy sky and with temperature of 80F (23 +/-C) we took a helicopter ride over the Falls region. With the large crowd of visitors from so many countries, you realise just how small the world has become. Tomorrow the temp. is going to be in the mid 80's and we're heading out to Burlington Vermont. Hoping to go via the Adarondacs but not sure on the damage done by Irene. So many people suffered flood damage, makes you realise who lucky we were. Till next time, cheers.

Enjoy your time at the falls.  The trip home will be much easier.  If you and yours would like to stop for a light lunch, I would be, more than glad to put something together.  Just ask!!!  p,s.  Be safe, ya know those New Yawkers...
