Happy St. Paddy's Day from Mid Michigan

. . . . and it looks like it will be quite nice.  We have sun in the forecast and NOAA has even downplayed our Tuesday storm a bit.  They are saying that much of it will be just rain so no additional 3 inches according to them.  The weather channel, however, is still indicating that it will be all snow for us.  I hope that NOAA is right.  Our morning is starting out very chilly with our 8 AM temp at only 19F, but even if we don't reach the freezing mark, any sun will make it feel much warmer.  Winds are from the NW but calm at present.  The dew point is 14F and the pressure is 30.17" and rising. We received a trace of precip yesterday and we continue to have 1.5" of snow cover.  The sun rose at 7:45 AM EDT, and it will set at 7:45 PM EDT.  The first official day of spring is just a few days away.

OUR FORECAST:

Today: Partly sunny, with a high near 32. Northeast wind 7 to 9 mph.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 21. East wind 9 to 11 mph.

Monday Night: A chance of snow showers. Cloudy, with a low around 26. West southwest wind 9 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Tuesday: A chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 32. Windy, with a west wind 21 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 39 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 18. Breezy.

Cathie, I meant to tell you...and somehow got distracted....what a great Iris Shamrock picture that is...and what a hoot  the Irish Sam-I-Am is. Love 'em both!

Happy St. Patrick's Day ! Nice picture!
The snow is getting a bit tiresome I must admit but we can really feel spring in the air. Once Sheila cleans up after Paddy's party we should be all set ! (Smile)
