Had to go in to Boston again this morning, getting rather monotonous. Anyway, our temperature at 7.30 am was only 70° and a wind in the range of 5 to 10 mph. The barometric pressure was 29.79". A brief shower came through which made us glad we had brought our umbrella. Home by 1.30 pm, we recorded a high temp of 89° though the "outside thermometer showed a "hot" 106°. At 4 o'clock a storm warning came through and I went out and took the above photo. By 4.30 pm the wind, rain and lightening hit as a line of thunderstorms stretching from Maine to Connecticut came through. Still hearing the rumble of thunder, an hour after the main cells blew through. My rain gauge has gone "bad" again so I can't give a reading there. Time to move it! Currently our temperature is at 68°, delightfully cool, still raining, so I don't have to water tomorrow. They expect the rain to continue through most of the evening with the temp dropping to the mid 60's. Tomorrow we should have a high of 73°, mostly sunny and a NE wind of 5 to 10 mph.
Sunrise was at 5.07 am
Sunset will be at 8.19 pm
Humidity is at 100% (it's raining)
Dew Point is at 64°
Barometric Pressure is 29.80"
Boston Harbor Water Temperature is 56.5°
Summit of Mount Washington (6288') - current conditions - The current temperature on the summit is 55° (13°C) and the wind chill is 55°. The current wind speed is 35.9 mph and the 24 hour Peak wind speed was 81.5 mph at 1.00 am this morning. Visibility from the summit is zero (0). The summit is in cloud.
