Maybe Some Sun Today For Grand Rapids, Michigan

Temperature: 33

Average Wind:  14 mph SW

Wind Chill:    23

Humidity:      75%

Visibility:      10 mi

Dew Point;   26

Sunrise:      8:11 am

Sunset:       5:29 pm

Monthly Precip.: 16" snow, 1" rain

Partly sunny with a high in the upper 30s today. SW winds 10-20 mph.

Partly cloudy becoming mostly cloudy with a 20% chance of light rain/snow tonight. Low in the lower 30s. SW winds 15 - 20 mph.

It's refreshing to wake up to no snow or rain falling. It's gray out there, make no mistake on that, but at least no moisture is falling to add to any totals. Have no idea yet about any flood concerns but I wouldn't be surprised to hear there are some.

I see ice fishermen out on  the lake this morning. The rain has smoothed the surface to something that looks rather slick and I notice they're skidding and sliding, but nothing gets in the way of a devoted fisherman. Oh well...better them than me out there. I'm a happy camper to be on this side of the window. I'm comfy and warm and they are not. That's all that's necessary for me to know :>)

Cold, Clear, and Frosty in Mid Michigan

We woke to a white world this morning.  Not snow, but a somewhat heavy frost.  This is the third or fourth that we've had, but the flowers that I have left still seem to be doing okay.  The mums, of course, always seem to survive, but I have a begonia that is still blooming and some of the…See More

Gaithersburg Maryland VP2 backyard weather station report for Monday, October 24, 2016

Monday was partly sunny with a good bit of cumulus at times with winds increasing a bit once again, not as chilly in the early AM with lows in the upper 40s but not as mild in the afternoon with highs in the mid 60s. Early on Tuesday morning as of 4:00 AM my temperature is in the mid 40s with dew point temps in the mid 30s under clear skies with the wind calming down once again. Minimum temperatures will only drop a bit more into the low 40s by sunrise with dew point temperatures holding in the…See More
