Discussion:

Tropical Storm 'Nadine' hass now become a 'Post-Tropical' storm about 430 miles South of the Azores islands. It is moving to the South-Southeast at 16 mph and it has sustained winds of 60 mph. Gale-force conditions are expected to decrease across the Azores today. PTS 'Nadine' will move farther away from the Azores this weekend but may stall early next week as existing steering currents weaken. It is not out of the question that the system could become Tropical Storm again over warmer Atlantic Basin waters Southeast of the Azores early next week.

Stay tuned here for info on any new Atlantic Basin weather activity.

Please don't forget that when these tropical systems form - whether they remain a tropical depression or develop into a named tropical storm or Category ‘1’ through ‘5’ hurricane, each of these systems will ALWAYS BE A RAIN EVENT! When the term ‘hurricane’ is written or spoken, it’s human nature to think only of the wind speeds they contain but don’t overlook the fact that there is always torrential rainfall associated with any type of tropical system!
